This is a mild to medium tangy salsa made from tomatillos and serrano chillies. A staple of Mexican cuisine, tomatillos are a fruit related to the Cape Gooseberry. We proudly use fresh tomatillos grown in Hawke’s Bay. Made on site with love, salsa verde works with so many dishes, but shines with chilaquiles or chicken enchiladas. For a super easy weeknight meal,  pour some salsa verde over shredded chicken; mix well and use to fill warm corn tortillas.
